  1. A very close and exciting event for the Enterprise Youth Nationals with only 1 point separating each of the top 3 boats. Team Allen’s Ben & Gabe Hill managed to come away with second.

  2. Short review of the 2017 Enterprise Nationals from Ben and Gabe

We had a great time in Abersoch at the Allen Enterprise Nationals last week coming 14th overall and 2nd in the silver fleet with some good race results including a 5th and a 7th. The week saw a range of weather conditions, but nothing stopped the Enterprise sailors from enjoying themselves.

  3. Massive congratulations to Ben and Gabe Hill on winning the 2016 Enterprise Youth Nationals and a big thank you to Tim Sadler for lending the pair his boat after they had problems with their own. The Enterprise class operates a “Buddy System” which we think is a great idea and in this case it really helped the boys fulfil their potential.

  4. Ben and Gabe went straight from the Enterprise Nationals at Brixham to Bassenthwaite Lake for Bass Week. Unfortnuately, having damaged their boat the day before the Enterprise Nationals started they ended up 34th. They were disappointed, but had a great time and are already planning returning next year with a new boat.

Bass week is a fantastic event. More than 185 boats entered in 11 fleets. There was great sailing and great entertainment. The first weekend was the Graduate Northerns. Ben and Gabe came third.

The Graduates became part of the slow handicap fleet for the rest of the week. Ben and Gabe were first in the Dubworth Cup, joint first with a Flying Fifteen in the Tuesday evening race, third in the Natwest Cup, fourth in the Martini Challenge Trophy, second in the John Peel Tankard and second in the Cutty Sark Challenge. They were lent a GP14 for the Junior, Ladies and over 60 race and finished first junior and second over all.

Ben and Gabe’s next event is the Enterprise Youth.
