  1. We asked Chris about the highs and lows of his 2016 season.

“High Points of sailing season: Being selected as a helm for the Land Rover BAR Academy for the 2017 Youth Americas Cup in Bermuda has been the high point of the season for me.”

“Low Points: With Sam returning from injury in January we were looking forwards to hitting the 49er sailing hard for the first time since finishing University but then during Palma in April he picked up another injury which put him out of the boat until the end of August.”

“Lessons Learned: When Sam has been out with injury I have managed to move forwards in a number of areas by using other sailing to benefit our 49er campaign. Now that we are back in the boat the benefits of doing other sailing are starting to show already.”

Chris Taylor’s 2017 Plans are to win the Youth Americas Cup with the LRBAR Academy and finish in the top 20 at the 2017 49er World Championships.
